Man arrested for allegedly st@bbing his wife in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 49-year-old man, Balamau Lardi for allegedly st@bbing his wife with a knife in Kurnyi Tudu Village, Kurnyi District, Guyuk Local Government Area of the state.  The spokesperson for the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.  According to Nguroje, the incident occurred on 23rd September, 2026, following a report received from the District Head and Village Head of Kurnyi, that the suspect st@bbed his wife, one Biyagwal Balamau, 37 years old, on the left side of her ribs, resulting in grievous injury. Upon receipt of the report, Operatives attached to Guyuk Divisional Police Headquarters promptly mobilized to the scene, rescued the victim and arrested the suspect. The suspect is currently in police custody undergoing investigation, the statement read  "The victim was immediately evacuated to a medical facility where she is currently receiving treatment and undergoing surgery. "The Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, CP Dankombo Morris, fdc, condemns in strong terms this act of Gender-Based Violence and has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to take over the case and ensure diligent investigation and prosecution. "The CP urges members of the public to adopt peaceful and lawful means of resolving domestic disputes and shun violence in all its forms. The Command reiterates its zero tolerance for Gender-Based Violence and calls on the public to report all cases of domestic violence, assault or threat to the nearest Police Station or via the Command's emergency lines.  The post Man arrested for allegedly st@bbing his wife in Adamawa appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
